Photo Writing Prompts

I am a writer and a photographer. Truth be told, if I had to choose between inking out words and snapping images, I would hands-down, without a wink, nod, or jiggle, for sure and for certain, choose writing. But sometimes the writerly syrup comes slow and I need a swift kick in the creative-parts to get things loosed. .

Back in the daze when I was public school substitute teacher (oh, the stories I have about that, especially the one about the missing locker-room underwear) an English teach had left a pile of black and white photographs for what she called a “Photo-inspired Writing” lesson. .

So, now when my ink pen gets all gobbed up with writer’s block boogers, I whip out an image from my ginormous photo storehouse and put pen to paper. Fiction short stories. Poems. Actual-factual tellings. Blethering blabber. It all comes loose at one point or another. If you wanna join in the funtastic photo writing prompts, knock yourself out. Take a gander at one of the images, write a piece, tuck it away or share it with the world.

If ya post it on-line, please be a fine and dandy, sweet like candy sorta buckaroo and leave a link down in the comment section. Thank you. [I’ll update this page with each new Photo Writing Prompt so be sure to check back every now and again.] .

Whether you follow the links to read, or write your own hoopla, I hope ya have some writerly fun!
