Moo and Thank You

For Fun, photography

Not much to say today. Okay, okay, I do have a couple things tossin’ around in the ole noggin’, but first take a gander at what I overheard a few weeks ago whilst we helped get cattle ready for summer pasture. (btw, that is not me in the image. purple doesn’t look that good on me.) You can click the image for an up-close-n-personal view. No, no, there’s no scratch-n-sniff feature.

~ If’n ya don’t know about Rocky Mountain Oysters,

you aren’t missin’ much; the bull calf is, but you aren’t.

Here’s a link because there might be one curious feller out there.

I have no idea how to segue between calf castration and thank you notes, so let’s just get on with it, shall we? Here’s the rest of the program…

1. Yep, what I have to say needs numbers. Don’t get your knickers in a knot, it’ll only take a minute. (Or two)

THANK YOU miss Gretchen of the Little Pink House for your hard work behind the scenes. She’s been my go-to-techno-guru galย (say that 5 times fast. faster!)ย and she really digs my poetical dribble. Actually she probably needs a paper towel. In any case, this is for her.

Miss G. —

you rescued

my interweb

ya yanked

on track.

I hear the writerly

whistles tootin’

down the BlogLand track.

I actually know her in real life — so that’s cool. Well, it is for me. Probably not so much for her though.

KUDOS to Sir Peter for helping straighten out the kinks in the gizmos too. I’m sure you won’t know what to do with an inbox void of my impatience.

Did ya miss me?

I missed you.

5. one more, last one

Do you also hear what animals say to one another? Or am I the only one gifted in that arena?

(all puns always intended; intentional or non-intentional, I’d still like the credit)

If you need some techno-flavored help,

here’s Miss Gretchen’s linky doodle bug.

I reckon she’s busy til after harvest though.

    • talk like the animals, walk like the animals… sorry, i get distracted easily.

thanks for stopping by, sir Jeff

  1. Awww, you’re so very welcome. And your poetry? It always makes me smile!! ๐Ÿ˜‰

The cow conversations are classic. Love it.

So thankful God has brought a writer friend into my local circle. Especially one who can write poetry in circles around me (if you can write poetry in circles?). ๐Ÿ™‚

  2. Isn’t it great when things begin to come together?
By the way, I have got to find out who Ted Baxter is. Otherwise, I can’t do his voice.

  3. Thank you for making me smile this morning. And, yes, I did miss you!! Have a most blessed day, my friend! ๐Ÿ™‚

If you have somethin' to say, I reckon this is where you should do it. (If you're a newbie hereabouts, your first comment will be held for approval - cuts down on spam.) Thank ye for chatting!
